Charles Dufour had a first traditionalist approach to viticulture and then almost immediately gave way to organic farming. His Champagnes reveal immense authenticity, reflecting the character of the terroir of the Côte des Bars.
The Champagne Le Champ du Clos is made from 100% pure Pinot Blanc grapes from 50-year old vineyards in the same-name parcel (lieu-dit) located in the village of Celles-sur-Ource. Rare and refined champagne, produced in limited quantities.
With organic and biodynamic viticulture, and great winemaking skills (all wines are unfined and unfiltered), Dufour's champagnes are voluptuous, structural, and flavoursome; all of these are characteristics which veteran Champagne drinkers do not associate with Brut Nature Champagnes.
