A plot of Chardonnay on a terroir of limestone with grypheus. We find a splendid palate, rich, full, predominantly lemon, sitting on a beautiful acidity, very good length and very salivating.
Domaine des Marnes Blanches is founded in 2006 in Cesancey of Jura, an area characterised by tis white marble soil, hence the domaine's name: Marnes Blanches. Eco-certified. All parcels are vinified seperately (a.k.a. ouillé by the local) and are aged in stainless steel or neutral cask with minimum use of sulphites.
The winemakers behind are a couple: Geraud and Pauline Fromont, who both are heavily influenced by Burgundy and Champagne's viniculture and vinification as both studied in Dijon.
