A pungent and evidently ripe nose is presently dominated by notes of smoky reduction. There is both good volume and mid-palate density to the middle weight flavors blessed with plenty of sappy dry extract that coats the mouth on the sleek, delicious and well-balanced finish. This is more 2015 in style than any of the prior wines yet with enough underlying acidity to suggest that it should successfully repay mid-term keeping.
