This product contains 4 bottles of 75cl orange wine (skin contacted) from United Kingdom, Italy, South Africa and New Zealand:
Ancre Hill Orange Wine 2018 (Original $260)
Deep, savoury, with nectarine & tangerine and lifted herbal notes. 100% whole bunch maceration for between 30 – 50 days. Fermentation finished in oak and stainless steel for ageing on gross lees for a minimum of 10 months. Natural MLF, no filtration, no fining, no SO2 additions.
Based in Monmouth, Wales, there are 4 hectares of vines here by Ancre Hill: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, a little bit of Triomphe and some Albariño. Viticulture here is certified biodynamic.
Lammidia Bianco Carbo 2019 (Original $240)
Made of indigenious white grapes (Trebbiano, Cococciola and Passerina) of Abruzzo from Italy, the grapes went through full carbonic maceration for one week. Balsamic and floral notes on the nose with an unexpected acidity.
Testalonga Baby Bandito Stay Brave 2019 (Original $218)
Hand harvested and whole bunch pressed. Fermented in 2000L Stainless Steel tanks. Maturation in 2 x 3500L Foudre and a 2000L Stainless tank. No yeast (or other) inoculation or additives apart from a small amount of SO2 shortly before bottling. Ambient fermentation (the juice/ wine is not cooled). 100% malolactic fermentation. A clarifying filtration was done, not fined.
The Hermit Ram Skin Fermented Sauvignon Blanc 2019 (Original $230)
Sourced from two different vineyards, and fermented 6 weeks on skins for extra texture and aromatics, with 20% whole-cluster ferment and just 20ppm of SO2. This is not a Kiwi Sauv Blanc from the early 2000's. The classic gooseberry and apricot aromas are there to be coaxed out, and this satisfies what you expect from the terroir. But there's something exception in here, a wild edge but clean taste. Saltiness, freshness, and life.
