Many winemaking stories began with destiny like the Ochota Barrels: the duo decided to make beautiful wines back home in South Australia after traveling on the west coast of Mexico in a caravan spot hopping surfing.
So, Taras studied and graduated from the Adelaide University with an oenology degree, learnt and developed his crafting skills in different wineries around the globe. Meanwhile, Amber gained experience across different parts of how a winery work including vineyard management, cellar door sales and wine analysis mostly in Europe. Finally, they settled at Basket Range of Adelaide Hills.
Today they craft some of the most delicious wines as a small artisanal producer, all wines are with limited production. Sadly, Taras passed away in October 2020. For further read in Chinese, read our blog here.
