Andreas Tscheppe Salamander Chardonnay 2017

Andreas Tscheppe Salamander Chardonnay is a biodynamic white wine made by the Austrian winemaker Andreas Tscheppe using the Chardonnay variety in Lower Austria.

The Andreas Tscheppe Salamander Chardonnay grapes come from vines that are between 6 and 12 years old, planted on limestone soil terraces. This winery takes great care to preserve the surface tension of the soil, using biodynamic formulas and copper tools.

In the winery, the grapes are selected, destemmed and pressed. Then the Andreas Tscheppe Salamander Chardonnay ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in 300, 1,800 and 2000-litre barrels and stays there for 18 months. It is finally bottled without being clarified, filtered or adding sulphur.

Andreas Tscheppe Salamander Chardonnay is a biodynamic, intense and vivid white wine that reflects the full mineral wealth of an unbeatable landscape.
