The MV Fut de Chene Rose represents a fairly significant stylistic shift from the rest of the wines in the range in the way it pulses with minerality and tension, qualities that have generally not been emphasized here in the past. Crushed rocks, flowers, blood orange, tangerine and mint are some of the many notes that are alive in the glass in this magnificent Champagne. A crystalline, salivating finish rounds thing out in style. Simply put, this is a fabulous showing from Giraud. The current release is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, based on the 2005 vintage, with 50% Reserve wines. Drink from 2015 - 2025. Tasted by Antonio Galloni in May 2014.
