This item require pre-order, release date: 17 Nov 2022

Jean-Claude Lapalu took over his father’s domaine in 1996 and made his first wines from 2000. The Estate includes 8 parcels of east and southeast facing vines which are scattered from Mont Brouilly south through the rolling hills of Odenas and his hometown of Saint-Etienne-la-Varenne. Jean-Claude is inspired by Jules Chauvet, France's Father of Natural Winemaking. He is committed to a strict biodynamic approach and received its organic certification from Ecocert with the 2010 vintage. He is in the process of obtaining the Biodyvin certification. He produces small lots of six distinct Gamay and white Beaujolais village produced with Chardonnay grapes. In a pure style of Natural Beaujolais, Jean-Claude is in the pursuit of maturity and concentration, which requires effort in limiting yields and taking risks in pushing the date of harvest
